The Holidays are here!

So, it’s that time of year where I start to plan holiday comings and goings. How do I do it? I use my son’s IEP to help me. Go through your child’s IEP and select the tools and accommodations you could use during holidays. For example: my son uses I need a break necklace, first/ last cards, as well as checklists throughout his day. Could I use these during the holidays? Absolutely!! These will help him stay on task, be prepared for what’s happening and self-regulate. Your child’s is a helpful tool for home and school.
