Self-Advocating

Good Morning! Parents, here a few tips if you’re thinking of including your child in their IEP meeting. 1. Think about what parts of the meeting can be a part of (e.g. introductions, rules for the meeting, reporting progress on goals)? 2. Assist your child in creating questions they would like to ask the team members. Or draw pictures 3. If your child is not attending, ask them what does s/he want for next year? and record their answers or help them draw the answers. 4. Bring pictures or a short of child demonstrating something they enjoy doing. #iepcoachtx #specialneedsadvocate#advocate #rbtintraining#registeredbehaviortechnicianinthemaking #ieptraining #ecetraining #ppcd #sped#iepreview #iepconsulting#behaviormanagement#specialneedsparenting #autismadvocate#autismmom #autismdad #iepmeetings#ardmeetings #texas #oklahoma#childadvocate #autismsupport#autismsafety #autismparents
